Girls Before Earls

Girls Before Earls Rogues to Lover, Book 1 by Anna Bennett ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ /5 This was a fun and fast paced start to a new series! And with the handful of girls enrolled and her assistant they have that connection … but a school can’t survive on care and respect. Too bad that Bellhaven’s headmistress expects more from her students families and demands that the Earl visit his ward every fortnight and spend time with her as in order to secure her enrolment… How hard can a by-weekly visit be?? Not hard at all when Gabriel soon finds that he can’t get the up tight headmistress out of his thoughts! He

The Rebel and the Rake

The Rebel and the Rake A League of Scoundrels Novel, Book 2 by Emily Sullivan ⭐⭐⭐⭐ /5 On the surface, Rafe Davies is nothing but a rake floating from society gathering to gathering… at least that is what he has been portraying to the world. He is. Spy for the crown and has come to this particular house party to see about the threat of an uprising… Miss Sylvia Sparrow is also in disguise! She’s been acting as the mild mannered lady’s companion to her old school friends Aunt since her world imploded years ago when she was arrested for being part of an anarchist group. Now all she craves is peace and enough savings to live out a quiet life… Too bad that someone has found out her secret and now she but follow the demands of a blackmailer! Lucky for her she finds a little help with the party’s resident rake- who doesn’t seem that rakish at all… This story had a slower start to it compared to Emily’s debut, but these characters don’t have a mutual history to start on. The beginn

A Scoundrel of Her Own

A Scoundrel of Her Own The Sinful Wallflowers Series, Book 3 by Stacy Reid ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ /5 This book swept me away from the beginning. This was historical romance it its best! Lady Ophelia’s childhood hero, who rescued her from an accident is banished from her life due to his meager position in society… this does not stop Devlin Byrne from going to London and remaking himself into a man worthy of a Marquess’s daughter. Now wealthy and powerful in his own right, Devlin still does not have a place in the ton and can’t reach his former love… that is until she steps out into the stews, his territory and the sparks from their youth reignite!  This was a gorgeous tale of lovers across class divides. Devlin’s pursuit and devotion to Lady Ophelia made my heart go aflutter. The forbidden nature of their courtship was so fun to read and their steamy coupling was perfection!  I am just blown away at how good this book and series is. The first Sinful Wallflowers was a home run, and amazing

The Life Revamp

The Life Revamp by Kris Ripper ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ /5 Kris Ripper keeps delivering fresh takes on love in a modern age! This story made me question relation structures and concepts, while focusing on love and respect. Our last single member of the self-proclaimed group of The Motherf***ers, Mason is looking for his own HEA. He dreams of pairing up, getting married, kids and a suburban address. He thinks he has found a guy that checks off all the items on his life goals checklist, until he meets Diego. In an open marriage, Diego’s wife sets him up with her friend Mason. They hit it off and Mason realizes that life is more that a list of boxes to check off… but what if some big boxes can never be checked off??? Like marriage… This story delivered a slow burn romance and a true pairing of soulmates. I loved Mason and Diego together and their journey to find their own ideal HEA! As always, Carina Press delivers the happily ever after I crave! A cute read that I could not put down and totall

To All the Dogs I’ve Loved Before

To All the Dogs I’ve Loved Before  Pine Hollow, Book 3 by Lizzie Shane ⭐⭐⭐⭐ /5 Do enjoy dogs in your romance? How about match making dogs?? Well, dog lovers rejoice! The third instalment of Lizzie Shane‘s Pine Hollow series, To All the Dogs I’ve Loved Before not only has a dog, but she plays a pivotal part of matchmaking for this pair of former sweethearts! Dory, an adorable rescue pup is a teeny Houdini (😆!) and is constantly breaking out of her owner, school librarian Elinor’s home while she’s at work… thankfully her former high school sweetheart and ex-fiancé, police chief Levi is pretty good at catching his pup! All of these forced encounters make Elinor and Levi question what broke them up and if they have a possible future together… This was a slow burn, second chance romance that really hit home. The hurt over the failed engagement and their own perceived faults was palpable as I read this book. I really appreciated the attention to personal growth author Lizzie Shane

After Dark with the Duke

After Dark with the Duke The Palace of Rogues, Book #4 by Julie Anne Long ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 After reading this, the fourth instalment in the Palace of Rogues series, I have to say that this is classic JAL doing what she does best - writing perfect historical romance! I loved falling back into familiar company with our Palace regulars, but JaAL knows how to give you enough to enjoy them and get that homecoming feeling- but not let them steal the show from the story’s front runners, Marianne and James. I’m pretty sure JAL has perfected the art of creating the down and out heroine that does what she must without sacrificing herself or her inner worth. Marianne has been torn down by men’s ambitions and pride and she takes what she has left and using her street skills and her aptitude to recreate her career… she also isn’t scared of finding passion again and taking what she wants. Cogliere l'attimo! (Italian for seize the day)  James, the Duke of Valkirk is the embodiment of the cold
