Temper

Temper An Alpha Hero Romance by Chantal Fernando ⭐⭐⭐⭐ /5 Temper has been stopping in the same bar on the way home from Vegas for years… every time he asks the sweet faced bartender out and she politely refuses. This year he decides to stop asking… and she decides its time to ask him out! Abby decides she finally wants to step out of her comfort area and live a little, so when Temper the hot biker presidents shows up, she decides its time for their date. Too bad her one night of rebellion becomes weeks and her life will never be the same. This was. Fun read. I haven’t read many MC romancing and I wasn’t sure what to expect. I loved the sense of family the MC had. They were a group of misfits, who created their own family and the love they had for each other felt genuine. I know this was a rose filtered view of a MC, but it fit perfectly with Abby and Tempers growing love story and the trust they build together. There was a big age gap between Abby and Temper, but it

Gone with the Rogue

Gone with the Rogue First Comes Love #2 by Amelia Grey ⭐⭐⭐ /5 A widow trying her best to make a new life for herself and her four year old son… a charming gentleman come merchant hero at her beck and call, how could this go wrong? In general I liked this book, but its just not going to be my favourite read... There was nothing outright bad about this story... my issue were with the pacing of the story and the resolution to the main conflict at the end of the story. Firstly, the book seemed to drag on and build up the conflict, to the point where I thought something big was going to come of it in the end… this was not the case. While, the characters had a successful conclusion to their conflict, as a reader I felt deflated and kind of sad for this person they had built up to be the big bad bully. The characters of Lady Julia and Garret Stockton came together in a fun meet-cute kind of way, and made me think that the story would have more fun antics - it did not. La

A Rogue by Any Other Name

A Rogue by Any Other Name Rogues to Riches #4 by Grace Burrowes ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ /5 Another perfect addition to the romance world… I have just finished reading A Duke by Any Other Name by Grace Burrowes and I’m left with a goofy smile on my face ☺️ ! In the fourth instalment of the Rogues to Rishes series we finally get an HEA for one of the Wentworth sisters, Althea! The sisters have been side characters for the run of the series thus far, but man, did Althea shine! She’s my new fictional BFF! Althea Wentworth has decided to forego the London season this year after suppering through the last five. As the families easiest target she has been bullied since she hit the ballroom. She’s familiar with the torn hems, spilled drinks and trips she received and is hoping that in the smaller playing field of Yorkshire society she can achieve her dream: a husband and family of her own. Too bad she needs to get the resident reclusive duke to accept her and show her the hopes to make thi

How to Catch an Errant Earl

How to Catch an Errant Earl The Disreputable Debutants #2 by Amy Rose Bennett ⭐⭐⭐⭐ /5 Amy Rose Bennett manages to harken back to classic historical romances, yet she gives her writing a fresh spin! Fans of Loretta Chase’s Lord of Scoundrels will be pleased with this tale. As I started How to Catch an Errant Earl, I wasn’t sure what to make of the motley crew… a group of friends expelled from a young ladies’ academy together, but the story quickly picks up speed when the focus narrows in on  Miss Arabella as she prepares to leave London with her family for a a grand tour. She is an orphan living off the kindness of her mother’s family (which isn’t so kind!). It’s hard reading how the extended family treats her so poorly based on her mothers action. When she comes across Gabriel Holms-Fitzgerald is known as the Errant Earl, as she explores a dungeon in Switzerland sparks fly. Soon they are found in a compromising position and forced to marry.  Since Arabella has found

Her Seafaring Scoundrel

Her Seafaring Scoundrel The Crawfords, Book 3 by Sophie Barnes ⭐⭐⭐⭐ /5 Lady Cassandra gave her heart and herself to her fiancee before their wedding… tragically her fiancee, Timothy was accidentally killed on the way to the wedding. Now, thirteen years later, still loves the husband she lost… and the daughter he gave her. Always fond of family friend, Lady Cassandra, Captain Devlin is honour bound to defend her at a ball and accidentally announces his engagement to her. Now he has to make that happen… After successfully convincing a woman, who never wanted to marry to marry him, they along with her daughter venture forward on a grand ocean adventure and Devlin attempt to make his wife fall in love with him. I really enjoyed the big hearted character of Devin, he was always so understanding and loving… as for Cassandra, I found her extreme devotion to her deceased fiancee a bit much. Thirteen years is a long time, especially when you have a new person in your li

The Rakess

The Rakess Society of Sirens #1 by Scarlett Peckham ⭐⭐⭐⭐ /5 The Society of Sirens has been created and we are introduced to them in the memoir of Seraphina Arden, London’s most infamous fallen woman. She, along with her friends, a former courtesan, a scandalous artist and the society matriarch who took this crew under her wing, they set out to use their skills to improve the lot of womankind. Sera escapes London to write her memoirs that are to be published to fund their activities. In Cornwall Sera meets with her demons head on and also sees the possibility of a happier life when she meets an architect, Adam Anderson, working at the neighbouring estate. This book left me emotionally shaken. The drama the characters fight though was palpable. At some points the realness of the writing was too relatable. But at those points a shored up my own strength to follow the characters next step. When the characters were not fighting for their beliefs and finally came togeth

The Virgin and the Rogue

The Virgin and the Rogue The Rogue Files (#6) by Sophie Jordan ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ /5 Let me just say- I could not put this book down! I have been enjoying reading Sophie Jordan’s The Rogue File series for a while… and one of my favourite thing she does with her characters is introduce them in a previous book and then turn your perception of them upside down by the time they get their own story! Through turn of fate, Charlotte Langley will finally be able to marry her childhood sweetheart and have the quiet life she dreams of… that is until her brother-in-laws rakish half brother shows up and makes her start feeling things… or was that the love potion her sister tricked her into taking? What is she thinking? She has a fiancee! Kingston is the recognized bastard of a notorious Earl has come to his half-brothers estate to find some peace. He no longer finds enjoyment though vice and is uncertain as to what his future may hold. Until one night he comes across the demur Miss Langley
