The Duke’s Stolen Bride

By Sophie Jordan

When I first picked up this book, I had no clue what I was in for… I had read the rest of the series and could’t place these characters within that framework. Shortly after starting the book, Sophie explains that Marian is the Duke of Autenberry’s sisters former governess turned companion, turn hopeful courtesan! Thats a mouthful! She had quit her post with Lady Clara when her father became ill. He has now passed away and its up to Marian to keep the family solvent without selling her soul/ freedom away in an unwanted marriage. What better solution that become a top notch courtesan and be able to name your price and keep. Your autonomy.

Now, one does not just become a high priced courtesan out of the blue… especially not a virgin! This is where the Depraved Duke, otherwise known as the Duke of Warrington steps in. He will train Marian in the art of seduction without taking her virginity and then she will set to save her family…

I’m sure this will go perfectly smoothly… ;)

This was a fun and steamy read. I loved the building up of the seduction and the character of Nathanial (the Duke) was delectable!

I highly recommend this book and I’m already looking forward to the next instalment of the series!

Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

His sisters friend, whom he had a shared experience with, the widowed Lady Helena March would be perfect! Just what his father wants and bonus-she’s not interested in marriage either! Ah, the old fake engagement! I suggest choosing someone you don’t actually like if you don’t want to end up married for real in the end! I jest! Max and Helena make a perfect pairing… so perfect the only thing that seems to be keeping them from actually being engaged in truth is the long distanced nature of ...
