Temper

Temper

An Alpha Hero Romanceby Chantal Fernando

⭐⭐⭐⭐ /5

Temper has been stopping in the same bar on the way home from Vegas for years… every time he asks the sweet faced bartender out and she politely refuses. This year he decides to stop asking… and she decides its time to ask him out!

Abby decides she finally wants to step out of her comfort area and live a little, so when Temper the hot biker presidents shows up, she decides its time for their date. Too bad her one night of rebellion becomes weeks and her life will never be the same.

This was. Fun read. I haven’t read many MC romancing and I wasn’t sure what to expect. I loved the sense of family the MC had. They were a group of misfits, who created their own family and the love they had for each other felt genuine. I know this was a rose filtered view of a MC, but it fit perfectly with Abby and Tempers growing love story and the trust they build together. There was a big age gap between Abby and Temper, but it was done respectfully and played up each characters differences in a way that made them work out well for each other.

There was a good amount of action and sex appeal in this book. As usual Carina Press did not disappoint!

Temper by Chantal Fernando was released April 20th, 2020.

I received a complimentary copy of this ebook from Harlequin and the Harlequin Publicity Team. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

First off, this epic second chance romance gave me pure romantic chills that were remittent to reading Jane Austen’s Persuasion. Her beautiful storytelling and detailed descriptions and character building really immersed me into this story and made me root for second chances and love! Childhood neighbours, Devlin Ware and Gwyneth Rhys never know the other felt the same attraction and pull towards the other until the stars aligned at the neighbourhood fete and they finally discover their mutual affection… but they were not mean to be young lovers, since family scandal befalls Devin and he is banished from his family home.  White no where to go and a determination to shed his innocence and become a man, he enlist in a foot regiment… and stays away at war ...

The Gunslinger’s Guide to Avoiding Matrimony

The Gunslinger’s Guide to Avoiding Matrimony By Michelle MacLean ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 The follow up to Michelle MacLean’s Hitched to the Gunslinger, The Gunslinger’s Guide to Avoiding Matrimony is finally here and the citizens of Desolation are up to more shenanigans! Running from the law retired gunslinger/gambler Adam Woodson stumbled upon the town of Desolation. His timing is perfect and he walks right into the mess groom selection/ wedding ceremony for the town and ends up married to spinster Nora. Nora hadn’t planned on picking a groom, but Adam will suit her purpose nicely- she only needs a husband long enough to inherit her property… too bad Adam has no intention of being that husband! Now the rules of Desolation state a man must marry or find a job… so Adam starts trying his hand at all the jobs, while Nora attempts to woo him to sign the marriage papers. In general this is a cute and funny premise, but Adam’s insistence that he can’t/won’t marry is too much. I felt for Nora and her inse...

It’s Max’s turn to marry! But Max isn’t going to just heed his father’s demands- he’s his own man and it’s a modern (Gilded) age! Solution: he will find a fake fiancée to cease his threats. His sisters friend, whom he had a shared experience with, the widowed Lady Helena March would be perfect! Just what his father wants and bonus-she’s not interested in marriage either! Ah, the old fake engagement! I suggest choosing someone you don’t actually like if you don’t want to end up married for real in the end! I jest! Max and Helena make a perfect pairing… so perfect the only thing that seems to be keeping them from actually being engaged in truth is the long distanced nature of ...
