There is nothing I love more than a broken hero and Christi Caldwell’s heroes from the Lost Lords series have master being broken down to an art form!

These fated mates, Lady Lia and Hugh Savage were destined for each other! I loved how their pasts experiences mirrored, allowing them to finally be the person to make the other person whole again.

Brooding hero Hugh has fought for survival, fought for his freedom, fought for king and country and now he fights for his living. He may be unbeatable but he no longer wants to fight. 

In steps reclusive Lady Lila who has been hiding from society for years and needs Hugh’s help to learn how to fight back in order to face her fears and go out in society again.

The chemistry between these two is electric, especially
 juxtaposed with the differing ambitions and social stations of both Lila and Hugh.

I could not put this book down! I had wondered how you could create a series based on the return of lost lords and continue to make it plausible and captivating. Christi has definitely succeeded in captivating me! I am now anxiously awaiting to see where the next lost lord will pop up!


In the Dark with the Duke by Christi Caldwell is scheduled to release June 9th, 2020.

by    Sharon Kernot I didn’t know what I was getting when I picked out this book. When I first opened this book and started to read, I was pleasantly surprised. The author, has written this novel in verse and the flow of the writing really goes with and helps tell the story. The Art of Taxidermy tells a gripping and emotional story about love of family and great loss. The themes are woven through the coming of age of young Lottie, along with her immigrant family in Australia after the second world war. I was taken in by this book from the first page and was made to feel deeply for Lottie and this family. Sharon Kernot has written a beautiful book and I can not highly recommend it enough. For the sake of her family, she will do anything to protect them and that includes keeping secrets and resisting the Rangers charms!  This was fun story. I loved how the romance also included the children because as a mother myself (happily married) I could never imagine being able to separate my love life from that of my family life. Here to Stay by Adriana Herrara ⭐⭐⭐ /5 Adrianna Herraara has a remarkable way of capturing the personality and spirit of her New Yorker characters… even when they aren’t in their native New York! The friendships created and the corresponding camaraderie are what stood out to me the most in this book. It was fun to watch these ex-pat New Yorkers come together in their new home and bond. As for the romance, I found it a bit forced. Julia is on a dating sabbatical and not looking for a man… Rocco is only in Dallas working fro the men trying to cut funding and close Julia’s charitable foundation that she works for.
