Forever With You

Forever With You

A Sapphire Springs Novel, Book 1

by Barb Curtis

⭐⭐⭐⭐ /5

High school sweethearts are given a second chance after 15 years when family drama drama and machinations force them to wrk together.

This sweet romance follows our star crossed lovers, Jay and Layna, as they reunite at the local winery owned by Jay’s grandfather. Heath concerns have made him call in all his partners and shuffle things around the winery. While Layna is under contract to open up a restaurant at the winery, she had no plans to do it under the management of her ex, Jay when he returns and is slated to take over the winery…

These two are both very dedicated to their families and their family businesses. They find a way to get around their hurt feelings and work together and soon find themselves back in each others arms…

Trust issues rear back up in the picture as family dynamics and the fear of failure push Jay back out of Sapphire Springs… but second chances don’t come along every day and he needs to decide where his priorities are and what he is willing to fight for.

I really enjoyed both of these characters and found joy in their coming together. Both had been hurt by lived ones and had to find a way to trust in themselves and others again.

This was a sweet romance with delightful secondary character that will entice you to want to come back to this series! A great debut and I am looking forward to the sequel!

The Gunslinger’s Guide to Avoiding Matrimony By Michelle MacLean ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 The follow up to Michelle MacLean’s Hitched to the Gunslinger, The Gunslinger’s Guide to Avoiding Matrimony is finally here and the citizens of Desolation are up to more shenanigans! Running from the law retired gunslinger/gambler Adam Woodson stumbled upon the town of Desolation. His timing is perfect and he walks right into the mess groom selection/ wedding ceremony for the town and ends up married to spinster Nora. Nora hadn’t planned on picking a groom, but Adam will suit her purpose nicely- she only needs a husband long enough to inherit her property… too bad Adam has no intention of being that husband! Now the rules of Desolation state a man must marry or find a job… so Adam starts trying his hand at all the jobs, while Nora attempts to woo him to sign the marriage papers. In general this is a cute and funny premise, but Adam’s insistence that he can’t/won’t marry is too much. I felt for Nora and her inse...
