Teddy Spencer Isn’t Looking for Love

Teddy Spencer Isn’t Looking for Love

by Kim Fielding

⭐⭐⭐💫 /5

This was an absolute surprise and I enjoyed so much about this book! I laughed out loud multiple times and had a blast following along with Teddy and Romeo as their status quo business trip goes awry!

Theses office enemies are pushed together, when their boss has a family emergency and can’t go and pitch their product to their potential investor. Their trip does not go as planned and fining out that they were only booked one room in a sold out hotel and finding only one bed is the least of their problems!

I won’t go into details, but the rod their trip ends up going down was a complete surprise to me and I loved reading every minute of it!

The characters of Teddy and Romeo were both so likeable! Sometimes an enemies to lovers put takes longer to warm up to both characters, but these two quickly show their true selves and are immediately likeable! These two are a delight and I loved seeing them work together!

I really wanted to give this book a 4 star review, but some unanswered questions and logistics made me lower my rating.

As always, Carina Press delivers the happily ever after I crave! An intriguing read that I totally recommend!

Teddy Spencer Isn’t Looking for Love by Kim Fielding is scheduled to release December 29th, 2020.

Book Description

Some people search their whole lives to find love. He just wants to avoid  it.

Teddy Spenser spends his days selling design ideas to higher-ups, living or dying on each new pitch. Stodgy engineer types like Romeo Blue, his nemesis—if you can call someone who barely talks to you a nemesis—are a necessary evil. A cute necessary evil.

Working together is bad enough, but when their boss puts them both on a  new, high-stakes project, “working together” suddenly means:

--sitting uncomfortably close on the same plane

--staying in the same hotel room—with only one bed

--spending every waking minute together

Turns out Mr. Starched Shirt has some hidden depths, and it’s getting harder to ignore the spark Teddy feels with every brush of their hands, with every knowing look. He might not have been looking for this connection with Romeo, but will he ever be ready to let him go?

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Harlequin and the Harlequin Publicity Team. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Running from the law retired gunslinger/gambler Adam Woodson stumbled upon the town of Desolation. His timing is perfect and he walks right into the mess groom selection/ wedding ceremony for the town and ends up married to spinster Nora. Nora hadn’t planned on picking a groom, but Adam will suit her purpose nicely- she only needs a husband long enough to inherit her property… too bad Adam has no intention of being that husband! Now the rules of Desolation state a man must marry or find a job… so Adam starts trying his hand at all the jobs, while Nora attempts to woo him to sign the marriage papers. In general this is a cute and funny premise, but Adam’s insistence that he can’t/won’t marry is too much. I felt for Nora and her inse...
