Mama’s Boy

Last Man Standing, Book #1

by Avery Flynn

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

Mama’s boy Dixon Becket has learned his lesson on love and won’t be fooled again… so when his cousins decide to compete for the last gift from their much loved departed grandmother by each dating a girl 6 times before Christmas and the one not in love by then wins… he knows he has this comp in the bag!!

Fiona Hartigan has been dating a steady sting of losers and has decided to turn over a new lease- no more Miss Nice Girl! So when she finds Dixon, the cosmetics CEO that has brushed off her last 3 scheduled meetings with him on a dating site she is channelling her inner badass and ready to try this new her out on him!

They agree to 6 dates no stings and no attachments; he wins his bet and she gets an undisclosed favour in the end… how can it go wrong???

Oh my! This was a fun read! Dixon and Fiona are so perfect for each other and watching these two fight their attraction was a hoot! I loved the 6 dates planned by Dixon’s cousins- they’re all so fun and unique! This was the light and fun romance my heart was needing! I can’t wait for the cousins books!

Mama’s Boy by Avery Flynn is expected to release September 27th, 2021.

Running from the law retired gunslinger/gambler Adam Woodson stumbled upon the town of Desolation. His timing is perfect and he walks right into the mess groom selection/ wedding ceremony for the town and ends up married to spinster Nora. Nora hadn’t planned on picking a groom, but Adam will suit her purpose nicely- she only needs a husband long enough to inherit her property… too bad Adam has no intention of being that husband! Now the rules of Desolation state a man must marry or find a job… so Adam starts trying his hand at all the jobs, while Nora attempts to woo him to sign the marriage papers. In general this is a cute and funny premise, but Adam’s insistence that he can’t/won’t marry is too much. I felt for Nora and her inse...
